I Jessie Palaypay hoped that readers informed themselves more on the differences on organic and inorganic food. What I found most interesting and not so much learned but have become more aware of is the pesticides and chemicals used in the soil affecting the foods we eat. I learned how to identify organic foods from inorganic foods during my research for this blog. For all the readers out there, I would say give organic food a try because it wouldn't hurt you.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion
In conclusion, organic foods have more nutrients than non-organic foods do. Even though they may sometimes be more expensive and harder to find in the long run it will save you money because you will end up going to less doctor appointments because of health issues. When it is said health issues it is because of the pesticides that are put into the non-organic foods that are eaten. They are bad for pregnant women because they are more susceptible to the poisons in the foods. The pesticides are especially bad for children and fetuses because their immune system is still developing and can cause some major damage to the child in the long run.
Why do pesticides matter?
What are some good things about organic foods?
Organic food is often fresher.
Organic farming is better for the environment.
Organically raised animals are NOT given antibiotics, growth hormones, or fed animal byproducts.
Why do pesticides matter?
Children and fetuses are most vulnerable to pesticide exposure due to their less-developed immune systems and because their bodies and brains are still developing. Exposure at an early age can cause developmental delays, behavioral disorders, and motor dysfunction.
Pregnant women are more vulnerable due to the added stress pesticides put on their already taxed organs. Plus pesticides can be passed from mother to child in the womb, as well as through breast milk. Some exposures can cause delayed effects on the nervous system, even years after the initial exposure.
Most of us have an accumulated build-up of pesticide exposure in our bodies due to numerous years of exposure. This chemical "body burden" as it is medically known could lead to health issues such as headaches, birth defects, and added strain on weakened immune systems.

This video is exactly why the community should start switching over to organically grown foods because it has gotten to the point where it is greatly out of hand. The industries have too much control in what can be shown and not shown while in the factories because it would make the people not want to buy their products. Having out food grown in factories is not good for our health because of all the chemicals that are used to make them "taste good" and "look good". If we continue to eat these food it will take a strong toll on our bodies and we will become weaker and our children will start having more and more birth defects.
Here is another video to show you how to pick out organic foods in the market.
It is helpful to know what is organic and non-organic because sometimes you may be fooled by fake signs.

Reasons to go Organic
Nowadays, the word Organic are getting popular, but most people do not know why should they eat Organic foods, so in this article we are going to talk about why should we go Organic?
Besides freeing our body the burden of cleansing & detoxing these harmful chemicals & artificial additives, organic food also contains more nutrients then their commercial counterparts. A 4 year study funded by the European Union showed that organic fruit & vegetables contained more than up to 40% more anti-oxidants than conventional equivalents.

The video below explains 7 reasons to go organic.
In my opinion, the most important reasons that we should go Organic are:
Organic foods taste better than inorganic foods
Scientists now know what we eaters have known all along: organic food often tastes better. It makes sense that strawberries taste yummier when raised in harmony with nature, but researchers at Washington State University just proved this as fact in lab taste trials where the organic berries were consistently judged as sweeter. Plus, new research verifies that some organic produce is often lower in nitrates and higher in antioxidants than conventional food. Let the organic feasting begin!
Protect Future Generations
Before a mother first nurses her newborn, the toxic risk from pesticides has already begun. Studies show that infants are exposed to hundreds of harmful chemicals in utero. In fact, our nation is now reaping the results of four generations of exposure to agricultural and industrial chemicals, whose safety was deemed on adult tolerance levels, not on children’s. According to the National Academy of Science, “neurologic and behavioral effects may result from low-level exposure to pesticides.” Numerous studies show that pesticides can adversely affect the nervous system, increase the risk of cancer, and decrease fertility.

Question about the Organic Food
Are Organic Foods Healthier?
People may like to know is Organic foods healthier and does it worth the extra cost?
People may like to know is Organic foods healthier and does it worth the extra cost?
The answer is: Yes. Unlike conventionally produced food, organic food exposes you to no synthetic pesticides or growth hormones. Many of these substances have been proven to cause cancer, birth defects and damage to the nervous and reproductive systems in animal studies, though at higher levels than commonly found in food. Due to this reason, organic foods are definitely worth it because it can make you healthier.
Introduction & Background about Organic Food
What Is Organic Food?
Organic food is produced with sustainable methods and do not involve modern synthetic inputs and do not contain any genetically modified organisms. Organic foods use natural methods like composting and rotating cultures to fertilize the soil, and they make sure that the soil is healthy, alive, so that the plant will be too, instead of adding all sorts of minerals to the soil that became dead after all life has been killed by pesticides.
The USDA has identified for three categories of labeling organic products:
100% Organic: Made with 100% organic ingredients
Organic: Made with at least 95% organic ingredients
100% Organic: Made with 100% organic ingredients
Organic: Made with at least 95% organic ingredients
Made With Organic Ingredients: Made with a minimum of 70% organic ingredients with strict restrictions on the remaining 30% including no GMOs (genetically modified organisms)
Products with less than 70% organic ingredients may list organically produced ingredients on the side panel of the package, but may not make any organic claims on the front of the package.
About Us
We are a group of students at California State University Northridge doing a project researching and comparing organic and inorganic foods. We created this blog in hopes if informing everyone the benefits of organic foods and its differences between non organic food. By doing research, we as a group have more insight on organic and inorganic foods that are eaten every day. What we learned is what is considered organic and to look for specific labels on food if we search for it. We suggest that if you want to eat healthier, give organic a chance and see if it is for you.

Is Organic food Beneficial?
Organic food has become popular in todays society. Its demand has become greater than the amount that can be supplied. Organic food is food that is grown naturally without any chemicals. In the article "Organic Foods: Are they safer?", the mayo staff clinic discusses whether the organic foods are truly beneficial. They first discuss the process of making food organic and the regulations that they have to meet by government to be considered organic. The clinic claims that in study's that it is not clear whether or not organic food is more beneficial. I believe that organic foods is free of pesticides. In the picture at the bottom, the man dreads the fact that he can only shop at a local store rather than an organic store. He would rather eat organic food because he knows it is healthier for his body.
Significant Quotes
"100 percent organic. To use this phrase, products must be either completely organic or made of all organic ingredients. Organic. Products must be at least 95 percent organic to use this term."
anything less than 95 percent is not organic let alone 100 percent organic
In the link below, it is explained what is considered organic food and some kids taste test to see which food is organic
